INNOVATION IS OUR MIDDLE NAME

WE ARE A YOUTH BLACK FEMALE LED ENTERPRISE INNOVATION STUDIO

COOi Studios was established in early 2019, with the single mission to be an innovation partner of choice to African enterprises. We set-up shop in the founder’s apartment in Rivonia, which was partly converted into an innovation studio. We started off by providing digital innovation strategy and our hero offering 'idea validation'. We soon realised that enterprises required services beyond idea validation, so we then added corporate innovation culture to our services. Working on numerous idea validation projects, we saw that start-ups working with our clients also required assistance to become enterprise ready and later we added this as a service offering too. Today COOi is not only helping large enterprises rapidly deliver open innovation projects, but we are also co-funding with government institutions to deliver feasibility assessments and business cases to build regional innovation ecosystems.

Sandiso Sibisi

Founder and Studios Director

Sandiso is an innovator, entrepreneur and humanitarian. She is the founder and director of COOi Studios. Prior to COOi Studios, Sandiso served as the Head of Open Innovation for Africa region at Accenture, a global technology consulting company. In 2013, she established the Born to Succeed programme, which advocates and educates for young women’s economic participation. Amongst other accolades she is a Sustainable Development Goals ambassador, Mzansi’s 100 Inspiring and Aspiring Leaders, a Play Your Part Ambassador with Brand South Africa, an Inspiring fifty Women in Tech and a Mandela Washington Fellow. Sandiso holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Technology from Wits University, a Social Entrepreneurship Certificate from INSEAD and is currently a Master of Management (Innovation Studies) candidate at Wits University.
Having worked for large corporations, I can resonate with the pain of driving innovation internally and externally. I built COOi to guide, shield and be a companion to Innovation Leaders.
