Developing an end-to-end monitoring solution to track billing events across multiple digital channels and integration layers using Power BI and Azure.

The clientβs Transactional Banking unit faced significant visibility gaps across three disparate platforms: digital channels, an enterprise service bus (ESBIN), and a financial pricing platform (ZAFIN). This fragmentation made it impossible to track billing events in real-time, resulting in manual error detection, billing disputes, and an inability to proactively identify calculation inaccuracies or system performance bottlenecks.
COOi Studios implemented a robust data visualisation ecosystem within Microsoft Azure. We engineered a dual-facing dashboard strategy: an Enterprise Dashboard for internal monitoring of billing thresholds and system health, and a Client-Facing Dashboard to provide transparent usage breakdowns. The solution involved cleaning and transforming data from the Azure Data Lake, mapping complex billable events, and designing high-fidelity Figma mock-ups validated through stakeholder usability testing.

The project established a single source of truth for billing, significantly reducing invoice disputes through improved accuracy.
β
By implementing proactive anomaly detection and SMS/Email alerting, the bank gained the ability to resolve errors before they impacted clients.
β
Furthermore, the framework laid the groundwork for predictive analytics, allowing clients to forecast spending and the bank to identify new revenue
optimization opportunities.
