The Role
The UI PIT is responsible for creating engaging and effective user experiences and interfaces across digital products and services. Working in close collaboration with design research analysts, developers, and project stakeholders, the UI/UX Analyst plays a key role in shaping digital solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with business and user needs. This position is ideal for a proactive and creative individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced consulting environment with exposure to various industries and use cases.
Key Responsibilities
User Interface and Experience Design
- Collaborate with design researchers and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for digital product visuals, direction, and experience.
- Design all aspects of user interface elements from concept to final hand-off to the development team, ensuring consistency with client and brand expectations.
- Translate complex business and user requirements into clean, user-friendly, and accessible digital experiences.
Prototyping and Wireframing
- Create wireframes, storyboards, process flows, sitemaps, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Develop functional prototypes that accurately capture the interaction and feel of the final product.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing.
User Research and Testing
- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user behaviour, needs, and pain points.
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product owners and technical leads.
- Analyse user engagement data from analytics platforms to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
Design System and Standards
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards (i.e. WCAG) that can be applied consistently across products and platforms.
- Ensure UI designs are responsive and compatible across devices and screen sizes.
- Stay updated on the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies to enhance the firm’s digital design capabilities.
Presentation and Communication
- Present and defend design concepts and key deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
- Communicate design rationale and user-centred insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration of UI/UX designs into final products.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Digital Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field.
- 0-1 years' experience in a UI role, preferably within a consulting, agency, or startup environment.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or similar platforms.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and familiarity with responsive design principles.
- Experience in conducting and applying user research to design processes.
- Familiarity with data analytics and user engagement platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar) is advantageous.
