The Role

The Marketing Analyst is responsible for supporting the marketing and communications efforts of a growing consulting firm, with a strong focus on digital platforms, brand presence, and event coordination. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who is both creative and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate will be confident in content creation, digital tools, and event logistics, and will play a critical role in enhancing the visibility and reputation of the business in the South African consulting landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing and Content Development

  • Develop, write and schedule engaging content to promote COOi’s service offerings, project highlights, and thought leadership on social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Maintain and update the COOi website with relevant content including new projects, reports, events, and media features.
  • Assist with SEO strategies and campaign monitoring using tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, and social media insights.
  • Support email marketing campaigns and internal newsletters, maintaining accurate mailing lists and CRM data.

Copywriting and Brand Messaging

  • Create clear, compelling marketing copy for digital and print materials including blog posts, captions, brochures, emails, and presentations.
  • Ensure consistent tone, messaging, and brand alignment across all marketing channels.
  • Maintain and refresh COOi’s brand toolkit including logos, templates, and visual guidelines.

Public Relations and Employer Branding

  • Support the coordination of PR efforts, including outreach to radio, TV, and digital platforms.
  • Maintain a record of media coverage and client-facing communications.
  • Assist in building COOi’s employer brand by showcasing employee stories, project milestones, and company culture.

Client Marketing and CRM

  • Assist with client marketing activities such as account-based marketing (ABM), customer satisfaction tracking, and follow-up communications.
  • Manage and update internal CRM tools, mailing lists, and contact databases.
  • Support internal communication efforts related to key announcements, campaigns, and company updates.

Event Planning and Coordination

  • Organise logistics for internal and client-facing events, including workshops, forums, and networking sessions.
  • Source venues, suppliers, and promotional materials while managing event budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate mailing lists, RSVPs, and post-event communications to ensure impactful follow-up and relationship-building.

Marketing Administration and Project Support

  • Maintain a central calendar of marketing campaigns and events, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Assist in tracking project plans, deliverables, and deadlines for all marketing activities.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for marketing-related tasks, including supplier liaison and documentation management.

What We’re Looking For
  • A diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of marketing experience, ideally within a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Solid knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Canva, WordPress, Google Ads).
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a flair for storytelling.
  • Experience coordinating events and managing external suppliers or service providers is advantageous.
